ALFOTEC headquarters invests in Wermelskirchen

After the construction of our new production hall in Bretnig near Dresden in 2015, ALFOTEC is currently taking the next step towards the future: The new sales centre of our company is currently being built at the Wermelskirchen location. The move is expected to be realised in spring 2018. With this move we are taking into account the positive business development that has been going on for years, creating better working conditions for our employees and offering customers and visitors a more representative and communicative ambience. In addition, our current headquarters is bursting at the seams.

Future company headquarters only a stone’s throw away

In the search for the new location we found it in the immediate vicinity: On the old-established Albert-Einstein-Strasse we acquired a 5000 square metre plot of land on the opposite side. This means that the access route for our employees, business partners and service providers has remained the same.

New office building with many amenities
A modern, representative two-storey building is currently being constructed on the company premises, which were deliberately designed with plenty of green space. It will provide 700 square meters of office space and offer space for up to 30 employees. They are already looking forward to the generously designed and modernly furnished lounge area. And for business partners and visitors a lounge with bistro and waiting area will be set up. Furthermore, our new office building will have two communicative conference rooms, which will be equipped with innovative presentation technology. One plus point that we are particularly pleased about: in future we will have a showroom where we can present our products and conveyor solutions. This can also be used for events such as open house, company meetings or employee events or training courses etc.

December 2016: Ground breaking and structural work

Should we continue to expand successfully, our company premises are large enough to be able to enlarge the office building accordingly.

In addition, there is a spacious terrace and a sufficient number of visitor parking spaces on the outdoor area.

September 2017: We celebrate topping-out ceremony!

Since our last newsletter – as you can see on the photos – a lot has happened on the construction site: For example, the roof truss was recently completed. For us the perfect occasion to celebrate a proper topping-out ceremony. In addition to our commercial neighbours and the local craftsmen we commissioned with the new building, we invited the press and our business friends to a barbecue.

Of course, our employees were also involved. Questions about the new building were answered, new contacts made and old ones cultivated. All in all, we can speak of an all-round successful event. The next steps are the installation of all windows and the installation work for electrical and sanitary installations.

April 2018: The new building is completed – soon we can move in.

Since the topping-out ceremony, we have spit in our hands to be able to move in the spring of this year as planned. And we will: In the last few months – as you can see in the photos – we have carried out both the insulation and plastering of the exterior façade and the complete interior finishing of our new central administration. All windows and doors were installed, the house connection for the heating system was laid and all sanitary facilities were installed. The installation of the building’s electrical system including alarm and fire alarm system was carried out promptly before the floor layers and painters got down to work.

Then it was the turn of the lighting installation according to DIN EN 12665, which regulates the lighting of workplaces. With the fencing of the company premises, including the installation of all gates, the construction work will be completed on time. The actual move will take place between 29.03.2018 and 31.03.2018 inclusive. We are already looking forward to welcoming you as our customer, business partner or friend of ALFOTEC in our new premises.

May 2018: Relocation to new ALFOTEC headquarters takes place

As planned and announced, the move to our new headquarters took place after the installation of all windows and the completion of all installation work. Punctually on 03.04.2018 we started business activities in our new, ergonomically and optically appealingly furnished premises (see photos). We are currently working under high pressure on the design of our outdoor area, i.e. on the planting and paving.

One thing we are particularly proud of has been completed and is already in operation: our environmentally friendly e-filling station. The official opening of our new headquarters will take place later this summer. We will report on this in good time.

October 2018: – ALFOTEC celebrates beautiful housewarming party

Only minutes after the last cut of the spade for the final design of the outdoor area, the first of the numerous guests arrived in Wermelskirchen for the inauguration of ALFOTEC’s new head office. Under the motto “Meet & Greet”, the party began in bright sunshine with a small champagne reception for customers, suppliers, commercial neighbours as well as employees and friends of the company.

To introduce the new headquarters, guided tours were organized, questions on technology and infrastructure were answered and conversations were held in a relaxed atmosphere away from the topics of business and intralogistics. A tasteful buffet and delicious drinks provided for the physical well-being and rounded off the successful event.
