ALFOTEC supports a great project for small circus artists

Christmas is just around the corner and we would like to use this wonderful occasion to wish all readers of our blog a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Perhaps you still remember? At the end of the year 2017 we had donated to a good cause: the circus project week in Wermelskirchen. The great success of this event prompted us to make a financial contribution in 2018 as well, so that this great project can take place in 2019 – and many small circus artists can once again demonstrate their talent in front of an enthusiastic audience.

Circus Project Week 2018: Event location was bursting at the seams

A total of about 90 children actively participated in the circus project week 2018. Many more children would also have liked to come with their parents and grandparents, but the Schubert Hall was already bursting at the seams. In addition to the presentation of artistic talent, the Circus Project Week also regularly achieves educational successes: “The most beautiful thing is the process we go through with the children,” says Project Manager Boris from the Zapp Zarap Circus. After a “sauwuseligen” start followed a clean spot landing to the dress rehearsal. And the adrenalin tickles at the concluding Saturday show in front of an audience then again the best out of the little circus artists. “We also see time and again that children who attract negative attention at school shine in the ring,” adds Boris.

About Radieschen e. V. Wermelskirchen and the circus project week

The association Radieschen e. V. Wermelskirchen supports families in need or children and young people by enabling them to take part in lunch as part of the afternoon care in day care centres and schools. In addition, Radieschen e. V. promotes talented young people who have a special ability and cannot develop it without support. In addition, Radieschen e. V. has been organizing a circus project week for six to fourteen-year-old children in cooperation with Circus Zapp Zarap for several years. Under the motto “Kannst du nicht war gestern” (Can’t you do it was yesterday), exciting and varied workshops are offered on the individual project days. The spectrum ranges from acrobatics and fire art to the tightrope act.

The highlight of the project week is the circus show on Saturday. Then all participating young artists can show their parents and grandparents what they are made of: they juggle, conjure, balance, amuse and enchant the audience. The popular circus show is accompanied by spectacular lighting effects, professional sound engineering, thunderous applause and the seductive scent of popcorn.

In addition to Radieschen e. V. Wermelskirchen, a church organisation received another donation.
